Serious question, my dad told me to skip the inspection to make my offer stronger

We were looking at a condo in Tampa listed at $275k. He said waiving contingencies is how you win now. That really hit different because he's always been so careful about money. I'm worried about missing major issues like a bad roof or faulty wiring. But he made it sound like you have no choice in a hot market. Has anyone else actually bought a place without an inspection and been okay?

Is that what happens when you skip cleaning? I put it off for a week and found a science project in my fridge. Makes you want to never skip it again!

Used to think skipping was just for speed. Then a buddy bought a place and found out the sewer line was basically held together with hope. Changed my whole view on that.
