Just realized my knee pad technique was completely wrong

A commercial GC yelled at me for wearing my knee pads too low on my shins during a 4,000 sqft LVP job in Phoenix. He showed me how to pull them up so the thick pad sits right on my kneecap instead. Any of you guys had a boss change your whole setup with one tip like that?

Did you actually feel the difference right away or did it take a few days to kick in for you?

@burns.jenny same boat here. I wore mine low for years on hardwood installs and my knees ached every night. Once I pulled them up so the padding hits the kneecap dead center, it was night and day. My quads still got sore from kneeling but my kneecaps stopped feeling like they were grinding on concrete. That one adjustment probably saved me from surgery down the line.
