TIL a trick for getting that last piece of vinyl plank under a door jamb without a pull bar

I used a scrap piece of flooring and a rubber mallet to tap it in from the side after the customer in Springfield said their old installer always cut it short. Anyone have a better method for a really tight spot?

Man, that last piece is the worst. I've been there, sweating and trying not to crack the tongue off the board. Sometimes a little soap on the edge of that scrap piece helps it slide in without sticking. Feels like a victory when it finally clicks into place.

Ever notice how the hardest part of any project is that last little bit? It's like the universe tests you right at the finish line. My phone charger only works at one specific angle, the last grocery bag always has a hole in it, and yeah, that final floor plank never wants to go in. It's funny how the solution is usually some weird trick you'd never think of first, like tapping with a scrap piece instead of the fancy tool. Makes you wonder what other simple fixes we're overcomplicating.

Soap on the scrap piece? Genius.
