Found a trick for keeping hydrangeas from wilting in under 2 hours

I was losing half my hydrangea stock within a day until I tried dipping the stems in boiling water for 30 seconds before arranging. Has anyone else tested this method or got a better hack for keeping them fresh?

Does dipping them longer help at all, like a full minute?

Like a full minute" oversoaks them and messes up the coating texture imo.
