My delivery van's cooler died during a 90-degree wedding delivery yesterday.

I had to stop at three gas stations to buy bags of ice and stuff the arrangements in coolers. Anyone have a reliable van AC repair shop in the Austin area?

Why even bother with a repair shop? Those old van coolers are a money pit. You handled it fine with the ice... that's basically what the cooler does anyway. Just keep a couple big coolers in the back for emergencies. Saves you a huge repair bill and the hassle of being without your van for days.

Man, that's brutal. I had a similar meltdown (pun sort of intended) with a fridge truck last summer, and @miles_young59 has a point about the hassle. I ended up using a guy off South Lamar who fixed a hose for way less than I feared, but it still took him two days to even look at it.
