My shop tried two different floral foam brands for a big wedding arch last weekend.

We used Oasis for one side and a cheaper brand for the other, and the difference in water retention after 6 hours in the sun was huge. The cheaper side started wilting way before the ceremony even started. Do you all stick with the pricier foam or have you found a budget brand that actually holds up?

Stop calling it Oasis, that's the brand name for the whole company. You used their "Instant" foam, which is the cheap one.

Saw a video where a guy cut open a bunch of different foams. The Oasis Instant stuff had way bigger, uneven air pockets compared to their premium line. Makes sense why it would break down faster and feel less supportive.

Wait, they're still selling that Instant foam? I remember buying a cheap mattress pad with that stuff years ago and it turned into a flat, lumpy mess within six months.
