Veteran florist told me to stop using floral foam and switch to chicken wire for arrangements

She said it would save me time and look more natural, but my first three attempts with chicken wire ended up a tangled mess and I lost like 20 minutes each time. Any tips on how to actually get the wire set right without it falling apart?

Maybe try soaking the chicken wire in water first so it bends softer and stays put...

Never thought of that. Soaking it makes total sense now, I always fought with that stiff wire. Gonna try it next time.
