Why I refuse to do neon flowers for rustic weddings anymore
I had a bride last month who was dead set on bright pink carnations for her barn wedding. I tried to suggest softer blooms to match the wood and lace, but she wouldn't listen. The photos came out looking like a cartoon (no joke), and honestly, it made me cringe. Sometimes you just have to let people learn the hard way.

Last summer a bride wanted electric blue hydrangeas for her vineyard ceremony. The final photos looked so cheap and mismatched with all that natural wood. I learned to just nod and accept some ideas are beyond saving.

Was it just the shade of blue that made it clash? A deeper tone might have worked with the wood, like how @the_kim sees neon never fitting in barns. Getting the color right could have saved the idea.
