Found an old hand-crank egg beater at a garage sale in Topeka last weekend

I picked it up for $2 and it whipped cream in about 90 seconds flat. Way quieter than my electric mixer and no cord to deal with. Anyone else still use vintage kitchen tools over modern ones?

Oh man, I grabbed one of those at an estate sale a couple years back for like three bucks and it's honestly my go-to for whipping cream now. My electric mixer is fine for cakes and stuff but it's so loud I can't hear the TV in the other room, plus it takes forever to pull out and plug in. The hand-crank one does the job in about the same time and I can just toss it in the sink after. I had to replace the little rubber washer thing on mine after a while but that was a cheap fix, and now I use it for eggs for omelets too because it gets them fluffier than a fork ever could.

That rubber washer, did you find a replacement at a hardware store or order it special?

@price.gavin I ended up finding the right rubber washer at a local hardware store, the kind with the pull-out drawers for small parts. It was like a dollar and change. Saved me from having to wait for shipping.
