Found my old stamp collection from the 90s and it hit me different

I used to spend hours at the library in my hometown, looking up countries in a big atlas to find where my stamps came from. Now I just google it in two seconds, but I miss the feel of the paper maps and the quiet hunt. Has anyone else picked up a physical hobby like that again after a long break?

That feeling of things being too easy is exactly it. The hunt used to be the whole point, not just getting the answer. There's a real weight to holding an old stamp book that a screen just doesn't have. It makes the whole hobby feel more solid, like you really earned the knowledge. Maybe we lost something when we traded that slow process for pure speed.

Used to think faster was always better. Then I tried to find a specific old book without the internet and spent three days at different stores. The win felt real in a way clicking "buy now" never does.
