Shoutout to the guy who convinced me to try a real straight razor over a safety razor

I thought it was just for show, but after 3 shaves with his 1920s Wade & Butcher, the closeness is unreal. Anyone still keep up with this or know a good place to find vintage blades that aren't totally wrecked?

It's wild how many old ways of doing things are actually BETTER. My grandpa's old tools always outlast the new stuff I buy. For blades, I've had good luck at local flea markets where guys actually know how to restore them.

Got any tips for spotting a good blade at those markets?

Sounds like a lot of work for a shave, but hey, if it works.
