Vent: My great-grandma's pressed flower collection got damp in the attic last spring

I found the old leather album when I was helping my mom clear out her house in Spokane. The pages were stuck together and the colors had run on maybe twenty of the flowers. It took me a full week, using a hair dryer on low and wax paper, to carefully separate them without tearing the paper. I felt like I was losing a piece of her history with every crumbly petal. Has anyone else saved a damaged collection like this, and what worked for you?

That wax paper trick is genius for saving delicate old paper.

My grandma tried that on her 1910 cookbook but the wax bled into the ink on one page. @taylor_park75, did you iron it on a super low setting or just press it with something heavy? I'm worried about heat messing up the old glue in the binding.

Wait, is that the trick where you iron wax paper onto it? Because I tried that on a map once and now my dining table has a permanent ghost of the Mississippi River.
