Found a hurt baby bird on my walk in the park yesterday

I was walking my dog around Greenfield Park when I saw a little brown bird on the path that couldn't fly. It was just hopping around and looked scared. I didn't want to leave it there, so I put it in a small box I had in my car and took it to the animal rescue place on Main Street. Has anyone else found an animal like this and know what you're supposed to do?

Why not just leave nature alone?

Leaving nature alone means accepting disease and starvation as natural checks... Human intervention has saved countless species and ecosystems from collapse. A completely hands-off approach is a luxury we can't afford anymore.

Actually, the rescue place on Main Street is just a drop-off center now. They send all the wildlife to the county rehab facility, so you did the right thing.
