Just realized I've been walking past a hidden creek for months
I take the same route through the woods near my apartment in Springfield almost every day. I always thought the sound was just wind in the trees, but after a big rain last week, I finally spotted the little stream about 15 feet down a steep bank, completely hidden by ferns. Now I know to look for the mossy rocks that mark the spot. Has anyone else found a hidden feature on their regular walk that they missed at first?

Oh man, that's so cool! I mean, I used to think my neighborhood was just boring houses and sidewalks, but then I noticed this one weirdly shaped tree in a yard I pass all the time. Turns out it's got this huge, smooth hollow in the trunk that you can only see from one angle. It's like a little secret spot. Makes you wonder what else we walk right by without seeing.
