Saw a faded hopscotch grid on the sidewalk today

My kid said my chalk lines were 'too perfect and boring' last summer, so now I just draw wavy paths and weird shapes. Anyone else's walks get more fun after taking advice from a 6-year-old?

That's so true, kids have a way of cutting through the boring stuff. It's like we get stuck in making things 'right' instead of fun. My niece convinced me to add glitter glue to a plain picture frame last year, and now I see messes differently. There's a weird freedom in letting go of perfect lines, whether it's chalk or anything else.

I read a parenting blog once that called this "kid logic". It said adults see a hopscotch grid as a set of rules. Kids just see a chance to jump. Your wavy paths sound way more fun than straight lines. @jenny_hall has the right idea with those snail trails. My nephew told me my drawings needed more teeth, so now everything has a smile. It makes the whole sidewalk look happier.

My wavy snail trails make @adamk95's glitter frames look normal.
