Had a client ask for a full site redesign in a week, then change the whole brief halfway through
They wanted a new look for their online store, but after I sent the first mockups, they decided they actually wanted to keep the old layout but with new colors and fonts. I had to redo everything from scratch. What should have been a 40 hour job turned into almost 80 hours over ten days. How do you guys handle scope creep when the deadline is already tight?

Been there, had a client change their logo halfway through a rebrand and act surprised about the extra bill.

Ugh that's the worst. I mean, you gotta push back right away when the brief changes that much. I'd send a new quote for the extra hours and make them approve it before doing another minute of work, even if the deadline is tight. It sucks but if you don't, they'll just keep doing it.
