I thought my $500 project fee was a big deal until I landed a $3,000 retainer this morning.
Hitting that number made me finally believe I could actually do this full time, not just as a side hustle, so what's the smallest win that made you feel like a real freelancer?

Getting that first repeat client was huge for me. It was just a small blog post edit, but them coming back a month later made it feel real. What was your project that started with the $500 fee?

A whole month later is the best kind of surprise.

Wait, they came back a whole month later for another edit? That's the real win right there. My first $500 was a one-off website copy job and I never heard from them again. Getting a repeat, even for something small, means you actually solved a problem for them. That's way bigger than the fee.
