Just realized fixed pricing is the only way I can freelance now
I always thought hourly billing was fair for my coding jobs. But after a project where the client kept calling with small tweaks, I worked for weeks with no extra cash. Now I quote one price for the whole job and list exactly what it covers. It stops scope creep and I actually make what my time is worth.

Estimating fixed prices sharpens your grasp of how hard a project really is.

Wait, does that actually work, @carr.lee?

Yeah, switching to fixed pricing was a big change for me too. I used to bill hourly and ended up playing free tech support for months because I didn't know how to say no. Now with a fixed price, I list everything included, and clients respect the boundaries more. It forces me to really think through the project before giving a quote, which saves headaches later. Why did it take me so long to figure that out, right? Seriously, it's the only way I can freelance without losing my mind or my money.
