Serious question, has anyone else tried charging way less to get more work?

I mean, I dropped my rate to $25 an hour for a month just to fill my schedule, and I ended up with the most draining, nitpicky clients I've ever had. Idk, maybe it's just me but it felt like attracting the wrong crowd. Has anyone else found that lowering your price actually backfired?

My $30 rate brought me the worst clients too.

Found my best long-term clients at that rate, honestly. They were just starting out and grew with me. The price felt fair for what I offered back then. Maybe it depends on the type of work you do.

Tell that to @the_viola, cheap rates attract cheap people.
