Spent $400 on a 'can't miss' freelance course that was just recycled blog posts.
I bought it back in 2019 thinking it would give me an edge, but the videos were just reading stuff you could find for free online. It felt like a total scam and set my savings back a few months. Has anyone else gotten burned by a course that promised way more than it delivered?

That whole "guru" course model preys on people wanting a clear path. The real cost isn't just the money, it's the time lost and the confidence hit when you realize it's junk. Makes you doubt your own judgment for future, legit opportunities. They sell the dream of skipping the hard, boring parts of building a skill. Sometimes the free, scattered info is actually better because you learn to problem-solve, not just follow a script.

Saw a video breaking down how these courses often just repackage public domain info with fancy graphics. The presenter showed side by side comparisons of a paid "secret system" and a free government website, basically the same content. It really hits home how they're selling packaging, not real knowledge. Ever come across something like that?
