Update: Goats crashed my important work call in Portugal
Set up my laptop at a quiet vineyard cafe to finish a project deadline. In the middle of a client video chat, a bunch of goats wandered over and started bleating loudly right behind me. Had to apologize and mute myself while shooing them away with a napkin. You haven't lived the freelance life until farm animals try to join your meetings.

Facing goats during a backyard client call, I tossed them an apple from my lunch. They chased after it and left me alone to finish up. Food is usually the quickest fix for curious animals.

Yeah the food trick makes sense. I read once goats will chew on anything for food, even paper, so that napkin probably just looked like a weird snack to them.

Wait you tried to shoo goats with just a napkin? That's the part that's killing me lol. Like a piece of paper is gonna stop a whole herd, it just makes the mental picture way better.
