My aunt said to always wave at kids on my route, even if I'm in a hurry.
I mean, I thought it was kinda silly at first, but I started doing it about a month ago. Now a little boy named Leo waits by his mailbox every afternoon just to wave back. Anyone else have a small habit that ended up meaning more than you expected?

Man, that got me right in the feels. It's so easy to feel disconnected from everyone, just rushing through your own little bubble. Then you do one tiny, kind of dumb thing and it turns into this real point of contact with another person. It proves we all need those little threads tying us together, even with strangers.

Honestly that's a really sweet story. Tbh those tiny connections can make your whole day better. It's wild how a simple wave can matter that much.

Totally agree, it's those little things that keep you going. I once got way too excited when a barista remembered my usual order, like I had won some kind of prize. My standards for human connection are apparently on the floor and I'm fine with it. Makes life pleasantly surprising.
