Pro tip: Everyone says you need a screen protector for your new phone, but I think that's wrong.
I've used my Pixel 8 for almost a year now without one, and the screen is still flawless. Modern glass is way tougher than people give it credit for, and a protector just ruins the feel. Has anyone else ditched the screen protector and been fine?

My Pixel 8 is fine too, but @grace89 shows it's a gamble.

My old phone got a deep gouge from just my house keys once. It was in my pocket for maybe five minutes. Now I'm paranoid and use a case with a raised edge. Some screens just seem softer than others for no clear reason.
