Started skipping to the ratings in every gadget review
It cuts out all the extra talk. Now I get the key details fast, lol.

That trick of skipping to the ratings is a lifesaver. I do it all the time because my attention span is basically zero now. Most reviews pad things out so much, and I just want to know if it's good or bad. I used to watch full reviews, but now I feel like I'm wasting time if I don't jump to the end. My friends think I'm missing out, but I get the gist fast. Honestly, it's the best way to cut through the noise and make a quick choice.

My laptop reviews shave off like ten minutes skipping straight there.

Actually skipping to ratings can backfire sometimes @the_nora. I did that once and missed the part where the reviewer said it thermal throttles under light load. The benchmarks at the end looked fine, but the actual use part in the middle was a mess. You might get the gist but miss a dealbreaker that isn't in the final score. Some flaws only show up when they talk about using it for more than an hour.

That trick works fine for laptops (the hardware specs are usually straightforward), but phone reviews can be a different story. With phones, the little details like how the camera handles movement shots or where the fingerprint sensor is placed can change your whole opinion. @the_nora taught me that the hard way when I skipped to the score on a headphone review and missed that the foam pads dig into your ears after 30 minutes. Now I scan reviews by reading the middle paragraphs where they talk about daily use, then check the ratings to confirm.
