Just realized how much the creek behind my house changed after one big storm.
That heavy rain last month moved a ton of gravel and sand. The old bend is now a straight cut about ten feet shorter. You can see the new layers of rock it exposed on the bank. Has anyone else seen a spot change that fast from weather?

That's wild how fast it can happen! Read an article about a river in the midwest that completely shifted its course overnight after a flood. It's crazy to think the landscape we see as permanent is actually changing all the time. Makes you want to go take pictures of your favorite spots before they look different. Nature doesn't wait around for anyone.
