My shop's new way of choosing gear has me thinking

Our studio head now lets the team vote on new kiln models. It seems like she wants to avoid past mistakes with bad buys. Do you see more shops moving to group decisions for big tools?

Is that becoming a thing now? We just had to vote on new monitors for the IT office, felt weird but honestly less annoying than getting stuck with the cheap ones again.
