Pro tip: I switched from a standard 5mm blowtube to a 3mm one for small goblet stems about a year ago.
The thinner tube gives me way more control on the pull, which cut my stem breakage rate in half. Anyone else find a small tool change made a big difference in a specific piece?

Funny how the smallest gear tweak can fix a stubborn problem. It's like using a tiny screwdriver for a watch instead of forcing a big one. Sometimes the right tool is just about matching the scale of the job.

Ever try a thinner tube on a larger piece just to see what happens? I found it can actually help with some tricky asymmetrical pulls where you need less air volume. It's a weird fix but it worked for me once.

But what if that thinner tube just hides a bigger problem? I've seen people try it on a big vase and then the whole piece cools too fast because the air flow is wrong. You might get one weird pull to work, but then the base gets all stressed and cracks later. It feels like a quick fix that can wreck the piece's strength in the long run.
