Cutting a 60-inch circle for a custom shower door took me three hours

The glass kept wanting to run on the curve no matter how slow I went. I finally got it by using a new diamond wheel and a ton of cutting oil. Anyone have a better trick for big round cuts?

Disagree completely, three hours is way too long for a pro. A steady hand and a good jig should get that circle cut in under an hour, even on glass. I think @hart.sage just needed more practice with the tool speed, not a new wheel. Have you tried using a plywood template as a guide for your grinder?

Three hours for that cut" sounds about right for my first try, which ended up more like a wobbly egg.

Watched my buddy try to give himself a fade last summer. He got one side sort of okay, then completely butchered the back trying to use a second mirror. He had to shave it all off and wore a hat for a solid month. We still call him "the lawnmower victim" when we see those photos.
