Just realized my hurry on a skylight job almost cost me big

Tried to beat the rain and didn't clean the frame edges well enough. Of course, it leaked on the first drizzle, and the customer called. Had to go back, pull the unit, and do it right in the wet. But sealing it perfectly in those conditions showed me a new method. Now I know how to handle damp installs without panic.

Remember hearing about a tile guy who rushed a shower pan and flooded a bathroom. He ended up learning more about waterproof membranes from that fix than any perfect job. Sometimes the big mess-ups teach you the tricks you actually use.
