Overheard a homeowner in Denver say they 'just used a hammer' to fix a cracked patio door.
They told their neighbor it was fine because they taped it. The whole unit was a write off, full of stress cracks. How do you even start explaining the safety risk to someone who thinks that's a fix?

My uncle in Phoenix did the same thing with duct tape on a sliding door for years. It held up fine through monsoons and never shattered. Sometimes a simple, cheap fix is all you really need if it works.
