Showerthought: My daily tool once-over is paying off
I started giving my tools a quick look every morning. Noticed a loose handle on my glass cutter recently. It stopped a messy accident and kept the job smooth.

The library had a book on workshop safety that talked about daily tool checks. It said most workshop injuries come from gear people forgot to look at. My buddy laughed when I told him, but then his tape measure snapped mid-pull. Now he's a believer too, though he'll never admit it out loud.
