Can we talk about the stress that comes with custom gun work?

I've been tackling a full custom build for a picky client, and the mental strain is real. Every time I'm at the bench, I feel this knot in my stomach worrying I'll mess up a tiny detail. It got so bad last week that I almost slipped with a file because my hands were jittery from lack of sleep. I love this trade, but the pressure to make everything flawless for customers is eating at me. My focus is shot, and I'm snapping at small things at home too. How do you all handle the anxiety when a project has to be perfect? I need some real ways to chill out so I can keep my work sharp. Sharing what works for you would mean a lot right now.

Try telling yourself it's just a fancy paperweight, not the Mona Lisa. I get so wound up sometimes I start talking to the slide like it's a nervous dog, saying stuff like "easy now, just a little more off the top." The real kicker is when the client wants it both dead-nuts perfect and also test-fired with bargain-bin ammo.

Dead-nuts perfect" is the problem, man. Lower that bar a bit.
