My caulking gun epiphany after a messy bathroom redo

I always hated caulking because it came out lumpy and uneven. Tried every tip online, nothing worked. Then I realized I was using the wrong pressure on the trigger. Adjusted my grip and now I get perfect beads every time. It's such a small thing, but it changed how I see sealing jobs.

Watched my friend Mike fight with his tub caulk for an hour. He kept blaming the cheap caulk gun. The real issue was his cleanup method, using a dry rag instead of a wet finger. He switched to a damp paper towel and it smoothed out like magic.

Referencing the dry rag thing, I totally get that. I mean, I used to struggle with caulk until I tried a wet sponge with a little dish soap. Maybe it's just me but that made it way smoother and cleaner.

Actually dish soap can leave a film. @martinez.kim try just water next time. Works better and no sticky stuff later.
