After a dispute with a client, I'm rethinking our gem certification process.
Quick in-house checks save time, but external reports avoid customer doubts.

Did you hear about my friend's customer who refused their in-house certificate?

Notice a pattern where folks trust outside names more than their own people, even when the work is just as good. It's like we've been trained to think something's only worth it if it comes wrapped in a fancy label. Kinda makes you wonder where that trust really should go, doesn't it?

Your post hits close to home. We had a client question our in-house grading last month, it turned into a big argument. Now we're stuck between faster checks and trusted third-party reports. It's a tough spot, balancing quick work with customer trust. External certs add cost, but they stop those nasty arguments.

Ask if the fight was worth all the stress. Clients question stuff all the time, it's part of the job. Maybe their in-house grade was fine and the client just wanted to argue. Paying for outside reports can be a waste if you know your work is good. Often trust comes from doing solid work, not from a fancy paper. Truth is, most office drama fades in a week anyway.
