DAE find that their pre-shift stretching routine turns into an interpretive dance after a long day on the mill?

Miming lifting invisible boxes to a conveyor belt rhythm is where I draw the line between tired and fully transcendent. I read that and actually had to put my phone down for a second because it hit too close to home. My own 'cool-down' after data entry is just me slowly crumpling to the floor like a deflating balloon, but yours is a full-blown performance art piece about late-stage capitalism. (And yeah, I'm stealing that phrase, because it's perfect.) The fact that we've all internalized the machinery to that degree is equal parts hilarious and deeply, deeply sad. But you're right, it's weirdly vital compared to any sterile gym routine where you're just counting reps.

Fr, after a marathon shift on the line, my pre-shoot stretches morph into this sad interpretive dance about capitalist exhaustion. Like, what started as hamstring pulls is now me miming lifting invisible boxes to the rhythm of the conveyor belt. My brain's so fried I don't even realize I'm doing it until someone points and laughs. Lowkey though, it's a vibe and keeps the back pain at bay. Wouldn't trade it for a boring old gym routine.

Two weeks back, I caught myself doing lunges in sync with the printer at my temp job. Totally get the mime thing, it's like your body's on autopilot from the grind. My cool-down is just me awkwardly swaying to the hum of fluorescent lights, fully dissociating. But honestly, same, it's weirdly therapeutic compared to structured exercise.
