I kept my holiday lights up year round and it's better for my mindset
Most minimalist advice says to pack away seasonal decor, but the soft glow helps me relax. I stopped taking them down and now my space feels cozy without clutter.

A blog I read last year talked about how Scandinavians use light to fight the winter gloom (they call it "hygge" and all that). It made me realize those rules about seasonal decor are pretty made up. My fairy lights are plugged in right now, actually. They just make my tiny apartment feel like a calm little nest, not a messy one. If the soft glow works for you, that's the only rule that matters. Packing them away seems like extra work for no real payoff.
