Sipping my coffee, I can't agree with the praise for the local farmers market move. It's now too crowded and loses its charm.

Ugh, right? It totally lost what made it special. Now you just stand in line forever and everyone's in a rush. Feels like another grocery store but outside. What was the point of moving it if this was the result?

Honestly, I get what you're saying but I see it a little different. That "feels like another grocery store" line hit me, but I think the move might have been about survival, not soul. Maybe the old spot couldn't handle the crowds or rent went up, and they had to scale up to keep the doors open. Ngl, I've seen small places die because they refused to change, and that's worse than having a line. Sometimes losing the cozy feel is the only way to keep the business alive for the long haul. I'd rather wait in a longer line for something that exists than miss the old version entirely because it shut down.

That "feels like another grocery store" line really nails it. I had the same problem with a food truck I liked after they got popular. What worked for me was going right when they opened on a weekday, if you can swing it. The crowd is usually thinner and the staff isn't burned out yet. You might not get the old vibe back, but at least you avoid the worst of the rush.

My friend's bakery got popular and lost all its soul.
