Despite what everyone says, a messy desk from my shelf project has made my remote work more productive.

Lol, my desk is a disaster zone from my own DIY fails. I swear the chaos helps me focus, but @christopher943 might be onto something with the tidy desk idea. After tripping over my own mess for the third time this week, I see his point. But honestly, that shelf project clutter makes me feel like I'm in the middle of something big. It's like my brain needs the visual noise to block out other distractions. So maybe both ways work, but my method just involves more coffee spills.

What if a messy desk just hides how stressed you really are? I see it differently after trying @christopher943's way. Last month my kitchen table was covered in mail and craft stuff, and I kept forgetting important dates. Once I cleared it off, I felt calmer and finished tasks faster. Your shelf project clutter might feel big, but for me, that visual noise just makes my mind race. A clean space lets me think without all that extra stuff in the way.
