Delivery guy fixed my wobbly shelf bracket on the spot
I was struggling to get a shelf level in my hallway. A delivery driver dropping off a package next door noticed and came over. He adjusted the bracket and showed me a simple trick with a coin. Now everything sits straight, and my weekend project is done. It was a surprisingly helpful moment from a complete stranger.

Saw a story once where a mail carrier did something similar.

Mail carriers see things most people miss since they walk the same streets daily. @willow_robinson, your story might be about how they notice small changes, like untouched mail leading to a wellness check for someone living alone. They could spot a broken window or smell gas and alert the right people. That regular presence turns them into quiet guardians for whole blocks. It's a simple but big deal for neighborhood safety.

Was it the kind of thing where they noticed mail piling up? That's what made a difference on my street, actually. Our regular carrier saw papers stacking for a few days at the old guy's house and called for a check. Turns out he'd taken a bad fall and was just stuck there. It really hit home how that daily route isn't just about letters, it's like a quiet safety net for people.
