That one humid workshop day turned my oil choice upside down

I was all for synthetic oils until a wet repair job showed me natural oils might be better; what's your pick?

How did a wet repair job make you choose natural oil? I'm totally surprised because synthetic is supposed to work better in damp heat. If it turned thin or sticky in humidity, that's a huge flaw. For instance, synthetic oil should not break down or let water mix in easily. Natural oil might resist moisture but it can get too thick when cold. I always picked synthetic for its steady performance, so your experience really throws me off.

Totally changed my mind after that.

Ever had synthetic oil absorb water?

That thing you said about synthetic not letting water mix in easily - that's what I thought too. But I've started noticing a bigger pattern where things that are supposed to be "premium" or "advanced" actually have hidden weak spots. Like those expensive waterproof phone cases that trap moisture inside and fog up. Or fancy air purifiers that pull in humidity and grow mold in the filter if you don't swap it every month. The higher tech something gets, the more ways it can fail in ways basic stuff doesn't.
