After a year of tinkering, my language model finally makes sense

I built a simple AI to help with summarizing notes, but it kept giving weird outputs. For months, I'd change little things and wait days to see if it improved. Yesterday, it started pulling out key points like I wanted. It's not perfect, but this small step feels like a big deal after so much waiting.

From my experience, AI summarizers often get things WRONG. They might skip over key arguments in a text or mix up names. Focusing on small tweaks for a year seems like a lot of time for minimal gain. I've found that sometimes you have to scrap the approach and start fresh. Those little wins can mask bigger problems down the line.

Has an AI summary ever messed up so badly it changed your view? I used to trust them for getting the gist fast. But one totally flipped the meaning of a policy update, caused real confusion. Now I get why sometimes starting over beats fixing tiny errors.
