AI content detectors gave me false confidence, until one caught me red handed
I was writing product descriptions for my Etsy shop and swore by Copyleaks to check everything I generated. Last Tuesday I ran a batch of 30 listings through it, all came back 99% human, so I posted them without a second look. A customer wrote back saying my copy sounded like a robot wrote it, and when I ran that exact text through GPTZero, it flagged 87%. Turns out I was feeding my own AI output through a detector that was just guessing, and now I rewrite every draft manually before I trust any score. Has anyone else had a detector fail them this badly?
