Can we talk about trying to train a model to recognize specific bird calls?
I thought it would take a weekend, but getting the audio data clean and labeled properly took almost three months. Anyone else hit a wall with a seemingly simple AI data prep task?

Tell me about it. My bird call project got wrecked by background noise from wind. @grace89 has the right idea, some tasks just balloon. Spent weeks just cutting out lawnmower sounds from my clips.

Remember my buddy trying to record frogs at a pond last spring. He got hours of this weird low droning sound mixed in with the croaks. Took him forever to realize it was a neighbor's broken pool pump running nonstop. He had to redo the whole thing, drove him crazy.
