Discovered our AI is screening out qualified candidates unfairly

We set up our AI for resume reviews last month. I found it rejecting people from diverse backgrounds due to biased training. How do we retrain it ethically without discarding all our progress?

Actually ran into this last year at my old job. You need to audit what data it was trained on first, then rebalance that set. Ever try a blind resume screen to compare results?

Last year, I thought AI bias was just hype. @bell.felix's point about skewed training data from past hires really changed my mind. You gotta clean the data first before any retraining works.

You only launched this AI last month and it's already rejecting qualified people from diverse backgrounds? (that's a major red flag, by the way). The training data must have been skewed from the start, probably based on past hiring patterns that weren't inclusive. To fix it, you need to review and clean that data before retraining, which is a lot of work but necessary. Otherwise, you're just building on a broken foundation.
