How an AI app for my kitchen changed my whole view

I always brushed off AI cooking tools as useless tech for people who can't cook. Then my friend pushed me to try this app that makes recipes from whatever you have on hand. I had some sad carrots, a potato, and a can of beans, and it gave me a simple stew idea. It turned out great and now I use it every week to avoid throwing food out. At the restaurant, we've got a similar system that checks our stock and suggests specials before things go bad. It helps us use up odd ingredients and keeps costs down. Seeing it work both at home and on the job totally flipped my opinion. I guess sometimes new tech really does have a place in old routines.

That's such a cool shift in thinking! It reminds me of when my dad finally let a smart thermostat into the house after years of complaining about the old dial one. He fought it forever, but now he loves telling everyone how it cut their power bill. Sometimes the stuff we think is just a hassle ends up fitting right in. It's wild how a little help with carrots and potatoes can open your eyes like that.

Ever read about those fridge cameras that remind you what's about to go bad? Sounded dumb until my lettuce stopped turning into soup every week.

Honestly, all this tech just seems like overkill for a kitchen. My grandma never needed an app to use up leftovers, and her food was always great. These tools can give weird combos that no one actually wants to eat. Plus, now you have to worry about your data being sold every time you scan a carrot. Old school methods work fine without the hassle.
