Rant: My old AI helper only caught bad spelling, now it tries to write my blog for me.
Back in 2020, these programs just fixed simple errors, which was helpful. Now, they generate entire articles that feel empty and cold. I've watched friends lose their personal style by letting AI do too much. We should be careful not to give up our own ideas for speed.

Actually, I've found that AI can be a useful partner if you guide it well. It helps me get past writer's block by suggesting ideas, but I always rewrite in my own words. The key is to use it as a starting point, not the final product. We shouldn't blame the tool for how people choose to use it. With care, it can save time without stealing your style.

Well if my old spellchecker started telling me how to install flooring, I'd be pretty suspicious of those measurements too. I get what people say about using it as a starting point, but let's be honest, once you let that genie out of the bottle it's real hard to put it back. Half the blogs I read now just feel like they were written by a very polite robot who never had an original thought in its life. You can practically hear the gears turning in the background of every sentence. At this rate, we'll all be reading each other's auto-generated thoughts about auto-generated articles.

So your editor's now the author? Cool.

Guess my flooring estimates will start writing themselves next. Can't wait to see what a bot thinks a "fair price" for linoleum is.
