Remember when you had to actually guess at photo edits before AI?

I was going through some old family photos last night from 2008 and realized how much I used to struggle with just basic color correction in Photoshop. Back then I'd spend 20 minutes messing with curves and levels, and half the time the skin tones would end up looking like an orange. Now I just click auto in Lightroom or use a tool like Topaz Photo AI, and it gets it right in 5 seconds. Has anyone else found they actually rely on AI more than their own eye these days?

2008 was right around when I started my own cleaning business and had zero time for fussing over photos. I got a Topaz Labs bundle on sale and never looked back, because five minutes vs twenty is a no-brainer when you're exhausted after scrubbing toilets all day. These days if the auto settings look good, I just go with it and save my eye for figuring out why my vacuum keeps dying.

Man, I feel you on that. Running your own cleaning business sounds brutal, and the last thing you need is to fight with a photo editor after a long day of work. I totally get the appeal of just hitting auto and calling it done when you're already wiped out. It's smart to save your energy for stuff that actually matters, like keeping your equipment running. No shame in taking the easy route when the easy route works fine. You do what you gotta do to survive.
