Saw an AI demo at a conference in Austin that totally changed my pipeline
Some startup showed a tool that autocompletes complex regex patterns from plain English, and it saved me 3 hours of debugging that same day. Has anyone else run into a tool that actually sped up your workflow instead of just being a novelty?

Honestly I was pretty skeptical of these AI tools at first, thought they were all hype. But a buddy showed me one that converts plain English to SQL queries last month and I ended up using it like 5 times that week for reports I usually dread writing. It cut my time down from maybe an hour to like 10 minutes.

Jake, I get what you're saying about the SQL thing being a huge time saver, but let me gently push back on something. Those tools don't really "convert plain English to SQL" like magic - they still need pretty specific wording to work right. I tried one for a project and found out real quick that if you say things too casually, it spits out garbage code that barely runs. You still gotta understand basic SQL concepts to check if what it gave you is even right. So it's more like a helper than a full replacement. Have you double-checked a few of those queries it made to make sure they pull the exact data you need?
