Tried ChatGPT to grade essays last week and got some wild results

I fed it 8 student essays on the Civil War just to see what would happen. It gave perfect feedback but flagged one kid for 'plagiarized emotional language' when it was literally his own words from a class discussion. The grading was too nice too, like it gave Bs to stuff that deserved Cs. Has anyone else noticed AI just can't handle the small weird stuff real teachers catch?

Oh great, so AI can't even tell when a kid is being genuine instead of ChatGPTing their own thoughts. Guess we've traded red pen tyrants for useless robot flatterers.

17 of my 20 test essays got a B or higher, and one kid literally wrote "the war was fought and then it ended" for a conclusion. The robot just can't spot the difference between solid work and a total half-ass job like a real teacher can.
