Used to sketch garden layouts by hand, now I let AI do the first draft
I remember sitting at my kitchen table in Portland with graph paper and a ruler for hours planning out client yards. Last year I started using this AI tool called YardPlan that generates a basic layout from a photo in like 10 minutes. It's not perfect, I still have to tweak the plant spacing and sun paths, but it saves me a solid 3 or 4 hours per project. Has anyone else found a similar shortcut that actually respects the real world constraints?

Nothing beats the feel of hand-drawn plans and a cold beer on a Sunday afternoon.

Nothing beats it is right, Logan_young29. I had a buddy who tried to do his whole basement renovation with just an app on his phone. Ended up flooding the place twice before he caved and drew it out on graph paper with a pencil. He still has that paper taped to his workbench and says it saved him more than any digital file ever could.
